Our final view of the Convair B-36 Peacemaker. The bomber was first developed during WW2 when the US Army Air Corps started making plans for a bomber with sufficient range to bomb targets in Germany from bases in North America. The bomber ended up being the mainstay of the Strategic Air Command during the early days of the Cold War. it was replaced by the B-52, which is still in use today.
